When I visited Qutub Minar 10 years ago, I never once noticed, this corridor, where every single pillar is of a different design. No duplication whatsoever. And with the evening sun streaming in, it made for a pretty picture.
Is it just me, or does this remind anyone else of a sponge cake too????
Another beautiful day ends.

hmm... iv gone to kutabminar only once.. i too dint notice the pillars r diffrent..
great pixs..!!
Wonderful Sunset pic. Looks fwd to more soon.
guess what
I havent seen the Qutub Minar till date!!!
Like the first one(I am not sure but is it a bit tilted to the right??)
and the third one beautifully captures the silhouette of the whole place.
NICE
hope and love: i know! its amazing how much we miss until we actually start looking. The complex is huge and it takes about 4-5 hours to cover the whole place in peace. I would suggest you reach at around 4:30. Having less of a crowd helps the ambience :-)
S&eep: hey thanks! and good to see you here.
lalit singh: and you call yourself a dehlite! ahh its ok. 24 years around here, and I'd never been to Jaipur or even Agra.
Its possible the first one may be tilted. If I look long enough, it does :-)
Yeah, you had to be there when I clicked the third one. I haven't been able to capture even half of how it was. You have to visit QM when you return to Delhi.
Whoa...that QM pic is awesome! I've been there just once...some 10 years back, when I was 7 or 8. So, I don't remember much. :p
By the way, WHAT in the world is that spongecake thingie?
reverend: thanks dude. will upload more this weekend. i have done lots of shooting off late.
world seller gal: I went to QM at the same age you did, and I don't remember much either! I even went to Safdarjung tomb and I don't remember much of it. But I went recently and I was so amazed. I'll upload those pix here this weekend.
Oh and the spongecake, see, the king who made qutub minar wanted to make another same monument, so he started it, but cud never finish it. Therefore the sponge cake. Atleast thats what someone at work told me.
Good effort!
On picture one, had it been taken one step left and if you could get that corridor to the full, It would have been an amazing experiece!
On picture two, other than the fact that the main focus is slightly to the left, Thats just fine..
On pic three,It would have been nice if you had a few steps up and a couple of steps left..
